There are a number of organisations devoted to the welfare and rescue of animals in China:

China Small Animal Protection Association (CSAPA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection of animals in China. It is mainly focused on animal rescue but it also holds public awareness events.

Animals Asia Foundation is a non-profit animal charity organisation which aims to improve animals’ living conditions. Its headquarters is in Hong Kong, the other Chinese sub branch is in Chengdu, Sichuan.

The Chinese Animal Protection Network is the first Chinese organisation focused on animal protection composed of volunteers only. The organisation started various initiatives targeting animal protection issues and has launched campaigns against animal abuse and cruelty.
