Mental Health

Lifeline: A confidential helpline providing emotional support for the expatriate community. It also provides information on living in Shanghai (housing issues, healthcare, relocation, working life, and more).

SIMHA: An association of mental professionals working with the expat community.  It keeps a register of therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals.

The Community Center Shanghai Counselling Services: Emotional support for families and individuals in need. Counsellors can assist newcomers with issues related to culture shock, parenting, addictions, anxiety and depression.
