In Colombia there is a range of public and private facilities available for teenagers, which are often sports related and promote exercise and outdoor group activities.

Plenty of after-school activities programs are organized and promoted by educational institutions including study groups, acting groups, music classes, sports and arts.

Colombia Joven aims to encourage the young population of the country to join national institutions and organizations and get involved in youth politics, national, social, economic and cultural programs.

As part of the program the government has created the Vive Colombia Joven card that offers benefits and discounts on sports and leisure activities to young people aged between 14 and 28 years old. The card is free of charge.
