Alcohol Abuse

Costa Rica Alcoholics Anonymous has information on AA meetings in Costa Rica's provinces and details of local meetings in English. The website also has details of English-speaking Al-Anon meetings.

Drug Abuse

The Costa Rica Recovery website has information about drug rehabilitation centers and drug addiction centers in Costa Rica. The organization is English-speaking and its central offices are located in Pavas, San José.

Cancer Support

Fundación Ana Ross: The Ana Ross foundation is dedicated to helping patients with cancer in giving them aid and psychosocial support. The foundation also promotes fund raising events (website in Spanish).

Casa AMES (Asociación de Mujeres en Salud): Casa AMES is a women's health association, which provides cancer-related programs and support. Casa AMES, in conjunction with Casa VIDA, has a support group dedicated to cancer prevention and aid. The meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month.
