Playing Golf in Costa Rica

Information on the Costa Rica golf clubs, facilities and organizations...

There are some very good 18-hole golf courses in Costa Rica. Golf is not a particularly popular activity with visitors so courses tend to be uncrowded. Rain and wind can make play difficult at certain times of the year.

The Asociación Deportiva de Aficionados al Golf (ANAGOLF) is the official governing body for golf in Costa Rica. One of its main services is the processing and certification of handicaps; newcomers to the country should contact it to transfer their handicap. It can also provide certificates to members who wish to use their handicap abroad.
