English-language Cinema in Copenhagen

Copenhagen's cinemas are modern and comfortable with up-to-date lighting and sound and vision technology. There are many cinema chains and multiplexes, as well as independent cinemas with one or two screens. There are also outdoor cinemas, which are popular during summer. Free-of-charge open-air screenings take place in Copenhagen in July and August and are organised by Zulu Sommerbio.

All foreign films at cinemas in Denmark are shown in their original language with Danish sub-titles, however, children's films are generally dubbed into Danish.

Tickets

Tickets are generally purchased at the cinema itself or can be bought online from kino.dk (in Danish).

Some cinemas offer lower rates before 18:00 from Monday to Thursday, check with the individual cinema.
