How to enrol in a private school in Dubai: which documents and stamps are needed...
It is vital to begin the enrolment process as soon as possible. When enrolling in a school in Dubai the following documents are necessary:
- Copy of parents' and child's passports and residency visas
- Copy of child's birth certificate (must be in Arabic or English)
- Several passport photographs
- Original and photocopies of two years' school records (must be in Arabic or English)
- Vaccination record and medical history
- Original transfer certificate from their current school in English or Arabic that includes:
- Name of student
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Enrolment date and grade level
- Leaving date and grade level
- Grade level the child will be promoted to at the end of the school year
- School stamp and official signature
All transfer certificates must be stamped by relevant authorities according to where the student is currently attending school, in particular:
- Dubai: School stamp and signature
- Another Emirate within the UAE: (1) School stamp and signature and (2) Ministry of Education from that emirate
- A GCC country (Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar): Ministry of Education stamp from the relevant country
- Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United States and Western Europe: School stamps
- All other countries: (1) Ministry of Education, (2) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and (3) UAE Embassy in the country where the current school is located
