Understand the rules and regulations regarding parking on streets and in car parks, plus how to pay a parking fine in Dubai
Parking is readily available near shopping centres, hotels and supermarkets in Dubai. In general, the car parks attached to these places are free of charge. Elsewhere there are a number of pay and display parking meters operating from Saturday to Thursday. A four-hour maximum parking time applies almost everywhere.
It is also possible to pay for metered parking with a Du or Etisalat mobile phone via the mParking service. Motorists can simply send a text to 7275 to renew their parking ticket.

Parking permits for people with disabilities
Permits for the disabled are available, and can be obtained from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) upon presentation of a medical report from Rashid hospital, a driver's licence and car registration details. Applications must be made in person. Different types of parking permits are provided, depending on the person's degree of disability.
