English-language Cinema in the Midi-Pyrénées

Film schedules in France change every Wednesday and listings can be found on numerous websites and in regional press. Two of the most common sites for finding what’s on at the cinema are AlloCine and Cinefil.

The film schedules use many abbreviations. The main one to look out for if you’re looking for a film in English “version originale” (VO), which means is will be screened in original version as opposed to “version française” (VF). Films marked as being in VO are not necessarily in English though, you can check the original language of the film on IMDb

Some other useful abbreviations are:

  • VOSTF (version originale sous-titrée en français): original undubbed version with French subtitles
  • Lunettes 3D: 3D glasses
  • Projection numérique: digital projection
  • Version restaurée: restored version
  • Séance: movie screening  (date & time)
  • TLJ (tous les jours): every day
  • PL (plein tarif): full ticket price
  • TR (tarif réduit): reduced ticket price (for students, children, seniors, etc)
