Background

Homosexuality is legal in Monaco, but same-sex unions are not recognised under the law. The Parliament of Monaco (Conseil National) passed a bill in July 2011 which prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation, but does not expressly make provisions for transgendered individuals.

The age of consent for gay couples in Monaco is 15.
