Public Transport

HVV, the Hamburg Transport Association, has information in English for passengers with impaired mobility on getting around the region by bus, rail and ferry.

Other transport services

There are also transport services provided by non-profit organisations (fee required) for those who are not able to use public transport.

People with disabilities who are unable to use public transport, don't have a private car or need a special vehicle or help, are entitled to a lump sum for the use of specialised transport services. This sum can be filed for at the social administration office (Grundsicherungs- und Sozialdienststellen) of the local Bezirksamt.
