Getting Connected
In order to connect or disconnect the electricity supply, download and fully complete the application form, which is available online. The application form must be completed and delivered to the consumer office on Rosia Road at least 10 working days before a new supply is required. If the existing supply is to be transferred, a minimum of four working days are required.
The form must be marked with a stamp in the appropriate section if applying on behalf on a company.
Paying bills
A dual bill for electricity and water is sent by Aquagib (Gibraltar's domestic water supplier). AquaGib is responsible for reading meters and taking payment for electricity bills on behalf of the GEA.
Payments of electricity bills can be made in the following ways:
- At the AquaGib office with cash, cheque or card

Electricity supply may be discontinued if bills are not paid within 60 days.

Disconnecting the Electricity Supply
An application form must be filled in to terminate the supply of electricity of supply. At least two working days’ notice must be given to the GEA, and all bills must be paid in full. There is no disconnection fee.
Gas
There is no mains gas supply in Gibraltar.
