Gibtelecom is the main provider of landline, mobile and Internet in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.

To get connected, take the following documents to the customer service centre:
- Proof of identity
- Proof of residence
- Bank account details to set up a direct debit
Once the application form has been filled in and the details processed, the line is connected as soon as possible (usually within ten days maximum). The customer service centre is open Monday to Friday 09:00-18:00, Saturdays 10:00-13:00.
A connection fee must be paid for all new lines and all line transfers. In addition, anyone who has been resident of Gibraltar for less than five years must pay a refundable deposit.

Old age pensioners who receive rent relief are entitled to free line transfer if moving house within Gibraltar, free phone exchange, and some free calls each month. A letter from the Ministry of Housing must be supplied to benefit from this.
Telephone bills for landline services are sent out monthly and are payable on reception. Bills can be paid by direct debit, in person or online. Customers who have landline, Internet and mobile services with Gibtelecom, are billed for all services under the same invoice.

Service is restricted if the bill is not paid. If the bill is not paid after a second bill is sent out the service is discontinued and will not be reconnected until full payment has been received.
Cancelling a Contract
To cancel or transfer a landline telephone contract, contact Gibtelecom as soon as possible either in person at the Customer Services Centre or by sending a fax to 200 444 44.
