Caritas provides services to all those in need, including counselling and short term accommodation for families and females in crisis situations, a residential care service for adolescent girls with behavioural, emotional and psychological problems, and services for refugees and asylum seekers.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Weekly meetings are held for both Chinese and English speakers. Al-Anon runs support groups for the family and friends of people suffering from alcoholism.

Drug Abuse

Narcotics Anonymous Hong Kong is a nonprofit fellowhip for men and women for whom drugs have become a problem. Regular English-speaking meetings are held in Hong Kong.

The KELY Support Group is an organisation of young people assisting other young people with alcohol, drugs, emotional and other issues.

The Community Drug Advisory Council (CDAC) is a charitable organisation providing services to the local and international communities. The CDAC is mainly concerned with teenage drug use in Hong Kong. The Samaritans provide confidential emotional support 24 hours a day.

People Bereaved by Suicide is a group sponsored by the Samaritans Suicide Prevention Service which organises free meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at the Mariners' Club, Middle Road, TST (opposite the Sheraton Hotel).
