Chhartrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) is the main airport in Mumbai. It is the busiest airport in India, handling over 29 million passengers. It is currently undergoing modernisation; ultimately, the airport will be able to accommodate over 40 million passengers per year.

The airport has two wings, although they both use the same runway:

  1. Domestic Terminal Santa Cruz East has two terminals; Terminal 1A is exclusively used by Air India for domestic flights; Terminal 1B is used by private airlines operating in India.
  2. International Terminal Andheri East handles all international flights.

The airport is situated in the suburbs of Santa Cruz and Andheri.
