Departure Tax
Until recently an airport tax (currently IDR 40,000 for domestic flights and IDR 150,000 for international flights) has been due on departing flights, and paid by passengers when checking in. From 28 September 2012, this is to be included in the airfare, starting with flights with Garuda Indonesia. The transition period will continue, with all other airlines scheduled to follow by mid-2013, and remaining airports in Indonesia doing the same in 2014.
