Japan Kennel Club: The group promotes competitions, exhibitions and shows for purebred dogs and also carries out the registration of pedigrees. It also certifies dog trainers and groomers.

Nippon SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals): Non-profit organisation aiming to improve animal welfare in Japan and to prevent animal abuse.

Save Animals Love Animals - SALA: Non-profit organisation rescuing dogs and cats, and operating on the western side of Tokyo. They offer animals for adoption, a junior club where children can learn about taking care of dogs and cats, and training of assistance dogs.
