Electricity

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the largest electricity utility company in Malaysia. It owns and operates the national electricity grid and serves over seven million customers in Peninsular Malaysia. In the event of a power outage or breakdown, the TNB Careline should be contacted by telephone or SMS. This line operates 24 hours per day.

Natural Gas

Gas Malaysia is the country's major gas supplier; it has over 33,000 residential and commercial customers and its network of gas pipelines covers more than 1,700 Km around the country. Their Operations Control Centre, which is open 24 hours per day should be contacted in any emergency situation involving gas.

Water

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (SYABAS) is responsible for the supply and distribution of water in the state of Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Customer service is provided by PUSPEL; they are available 24 hours per day to deal with customer problems and their questions about water supply, quality, bills, and disruptions in service.

Sewage

Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) is Malaysia's national sewage management company. It is wholly owned by the Malaysian government and is responsible for operating and maintaining public sewage treatment plants and the country's network of underground sewage pipelines. The company has a number of customer service centres around the country; customers should contact their local centre in the event of a problem.

Telephone

There are five companies in Malaysia providing mobile phone services to almost 29 million users. There are also more than four million landline telephone subscribers.

Telekom Malaysia (TM)

TM is responsible for all landlines in Malaysia and also provides Internet and satellite television services. Their customer service department should be contacted if there is a technical problem or fault with telephone, Internet or television services. Calls to the customer service department are free for landline customers; there is a charge for callers from other telephone providers.
