Malta Public Holidays

A calendar of the national vacation days when businesses, schools, government offices and banks may close and most people get the day off in Malta...

Malta is the country with the highest number of annual public holidays in the European Union with 14 annual holidays. A holiday that falls on a Saturday or Sunday is not carried over to the following Monday.

Malta makes a distinction between national holidays and public holidays; although both are non-working days, on national holidays the national flag is hoisted on public buildings.
