. Ferries operate 24 hours a day, though the timetable is more limited during the evening. In the winter, ferries run approximately every 45 minutes during the day. The summer schedule has ferries running every 20 minutes. The ferry crossing takes around 25 minutes.

Routes run between Sliema Strand and Marsamsett in Valletta. On the opposite side of Valletta, ferries run between Bormla (Cospicua), Isla (Senglea) and Lascaris in Valletta. Ferries run every 30 minutes during the day.

Ferries to Comino
A number of companies run ferries to Comino. United Comino Ferries has departures from Marfa and Cirkewwa. The quickest route is between Cirkewwa in Malta and the Blue Lagoon, Comino. The journey takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

The port in Grand Harbour is the main maritime gateway for Malta and is also the main port for cruise ships cruising the Mediterranean.
Malta to Gozo Bridge
The government is currently exploring the option of building a bridge from Malta to Gozo. Recently the China Communication Construction Company has started carrying out feasibility studies, and has suggested the bridge would take approximately four years to build.
