UK Citizens
The British Embassy of the Netherlands has up-to-date news on matters relating to Dutch-British relations, as well as issues of politics, health and safety and immigration. The British Embassy and British Consulate provide information on and assistance with the following:
- Registering births, deaths and marriages
- Housing and education
- Health insurance in the Netherlands
- Permits and registration
- Legalising documents
The British Embassy in The Hague cannot help with consular and visa enquiries; instead contact the British Consulate General in Amsterdam.
The Consular section provides detailed information on all legal matters pertaining to UK citizens living in the Netherlands: information on the registration of intended residence; registration of births, marriages, deaths; travel advice and the voting process when out of the country. The Consulate also handles appointments for issuing emergency travel documents. An appointment can be made online

British passports are not issued by the British Embassy in the Netherlands. Applications for first passports and renewals are processed by Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO)

US Citizens
The Embassy of the United States in The Hague has a website with up-to-date news on matters of relevance to American citizens in the Netherlands.
The US Citizens Service is the Consular section, providing detailed information on all legal details pertaining to US citizens living in the Netherlands: information on passports and the registration of intended residence; registration of births, marriages, deaths; the voting process when out of the country and so on. The Consular section can also offer notarial services and can give advice and information to Americans living in or visiting the Netherlands.

US citizens living in the Netherlands are eligible to vote by absentee ballot in the General Presidential Elections.
Canadian Citizens
The Canadian Embassy in the Netherlands provides information and services to both Dutch and Canadian citizens. The Consular section provides information for Canadians visiting or living in the Netherlands, including help with birth certificates, police certificates, citizen registration, and legalisation of documents and voting in Canadian elections from abroad, amongst other things.

Australian Citizens
The Consular section of the website of the Australian Embassy in the Netherlands provides services for Australian travellers to, or residents in, the Netherlands.
