A calendar of the national vacation days when businesses, schools and banks may close and most people get the day off in Panama...
The Spanish for public holiday is Día Feriado.
- If a Panamanian national holiday falls on a Sunday, the day off is automatically moved to the following Monday to create a long weekend
- Not all businesses are closed for national holidays, but banks and government offices are always closed
Note: Many businesses are closed on Jewish holidays. This can cause confusion, as Jewish holidays are not recognized as official holidays in Panama and no notice of closure is given.
