The main international airport serving Panama City is Tocumen International Airport. A new international airport is currently under construction in RÃo Hato, about two hours from Panama City. It is expected to open in 2014.

There is no departure tax to be paid at the airport when leaving Panama. It is included in the price of the ticket.
Public Transport to/from Tocumen
There are public busses that travel to and from the Tocumen Airport area, but not directly to the airport. Both Metro Busses and Diablos Rojos go to Tocumen and stop on the highway next to the road that leads to the airport.
It is not possible to take a Metro Bus on arrival at Tocumen as special cards are required. These are not available for purchase at the airport.
There are shared shuttle services that charge a flat fee per person. Taxis are available and it is possible to share a cab to the city.

Albrook Airport is the main domestic airport in the country. Its official name is Aeropuerto Marcos A. Gelabert.
The main airline at Albrook is Air Panama that operates domestic flights and flights to San José in Costa Rica.
