The standard voltage in the Philippines is 220V. 60 Hz is the standard frequency and plug types A, B and C are used for power sockets.
If the standard voltage in the country of origin is between 220V – 240V (as in the case of the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa), electrical appliances from these countries can be used in the Philippines. If the standard voltage in the country of origin is within the range of 110V – 127V, a power converter is necessary.
If the frequency in the country of origin is different in the Philippines (60 Hz), it is advisable that appliances brought in to the Philippines are not used.
To be safe, it is important to have a look at the label on the appliance. If the label states 100V – 240V, 50/60 Hz, it is safe to use the appliance in any country.
