Daylight Saving Time
Find out when, and how Russia time relates to the rest of the world…
Russia does not use Daylight Savings Time.
In late 2014 Russia turned all clocks back to non-DST. This is a change from the permanent DST implemented in 2011.
Two timezones have also been added, bringing the total number to 11. The timezone formerly known as Magadan Time now runs on Vladivostok Time.
Timezones are as follows:
- Kaliningrad Time UTC/GMT +2 :: MSK?1
- Moscow Time UTC/GMT +3 :: MSK
- Samara Time UTC/GMT +4 :: MSK+1
- Yekaterinburg Time UTC/GMT +5 :: MSK+2
- Omsk Time UTC/GMT +6 :: MSK+3
- Krasnoyarsk Time UTC/GMT +7 :: MSK+4
- Irkutsk Time UTC/GMT +8 :: MSK+5
- Yakutsk Time UTC/GMT +9 :: MSK+6
- Vladivostok Time UTC/GMT +10 :: MSK+5
- Srednekolymsk Time UTC/GMT +11 :: MSK+6
- Kamchatka Time UTC/GMT +12 :: MSK+7
Note: UTC is Coordinated Universal Time. GMT is Greenwich Mean Time. MSK is Moscow Time.
If dealing with other countries, it can be helpful to know how the different varieties of DST (for those countries that use the system) map on to each other. Most countries adjust their clocks at some time between midnight and 03:00; in the EU, clocks change at 01:00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Note: Many countries and territories change days of transitions to DST from year to year and some do not employ it every year.
