Holiday Accommodation in Singapore

Vacation time? Going on holiday to Singapore? Information on finding the right place to stay: serviced apartment, hotel or youth hostel - find out more...

There is a variety of choices for where to stay on vacation in Singapore, including serviced apartments, hotels, hostels and camping.

Serviced Apartments

Most serviced apartments are centrally located and offer hotel-style facilities. They can be rented for very short periods (one or two days) and may be less expensive than hotels and convenient for groups or families, or rented long-term, even several years.

A serviced apartment is furnished and equipped, regularly cleaned and sheets and towels changed. Apartments differ in the levels of service that they offer but this can be confirmed before booking.

Ensure that bookings are made in advance, preferably several months prior to arrival.

Serviced apartments are frequently used as a short-term base by people moving to Singapore.

There is a variety of hotels in Singapore ranging from the very top end to hostels.

Cheaper accommodation may not include air conditioning in the bedrooms, fridge facilities, safe, TV or cable TV.

Hotels can sometimes be accommodating if a late check-out is needed because of flight times. However, if not, luggage can be left with the concierge.

Hostels offer cheap accommodation in private rooms or dormitory accommodation.

Camping is possible in Singapore but it is not very common and needs careful planning as permits are required during weekdays. The facilities are basic and visitors are encouraged to stay one or two nights only.
