How the Singapore Police Force penalises bad driving with a Driver Improvement Point System...
The Singapore Police Force runs a Driver Improvement Point System (DIPS) to penalise persistent bad driving.
- A driver may accumulate up to 24 demerit points within 24 months before becoming liable for suspension
- A driver who has previously been suspended will be allowed to accumulate no more than 12 demerit points within 12 months of their last offence
