There are two airports in Istanbul; Atatürk International Airport (AIA) and Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

Atatürk Airport is situated on the European side of Istanbul and is also known as Ye?ilköy Airport. It has four terminals and is situated 24 Km to the west of Istanbul city centre. As well as domestic flights there are many options to fly to long-haul destinations.

Istanbul’s second airport, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, is named after the world’s first female pilot. It is located 35 Km to the southeast of Istanbul on the Anatolian side, and 50 Km from the city centre. There are domestic and international flights to European destinations and the Middle East.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport can easily be reached by car along the E80 motorway, and parking at the airport is plentiful, with capacity for nearly 5,000 vehicles.
