Our Early Years Centre offers our youngest children an exceptional first educational experience through the British Early Years Foundation Stage. At EYC we believe in providing a happy, secure, enriched environment in which children feel valued and have the self-confidence to become lifelong learners.  Our learning environments both inside and outside, are well resourced offering a range of multi-sensory learning opportunities.

In Malaysia, GIS EYC is the only school that integrates Jungle School programme - an outside-of-the-classroom learning - into our curriculum. This is a hands-on programme based on the ‘Forest Schools’ approach in Europe, that enables children to take managed risks and become actively involved in their immediate natural environment.

Throughout their time at EYC, our young learners have opportunities to follow their interests and take ownership over their learning.  This is encouraged through providing first-hand experiences to create a sense of awe and wonder about the world around them.

Primary School welcomes children from the EYC to the main campus and encourages them to continue their development and maintain the fun, active, enquiry-based approach in learning.

The Foundation subjects of Science, History, Geography and PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) are taught by classroom teachers, alongside specialist teachers supporting the teaching of Art, Design and Technology, Music, ICT, Physical Education and Modern Foreign Languages.

The Secondary School curriculum focuses on supporting young confident adults to reach their potential.

Students follow a full range of courses leading to International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Examinations; students choose a range of subjects suited to the individual.

Garden International is one of Asia' leading A-Level international schools, with 60% of our graduates going to top 100 universities.

GIS Sixth form offers a wide range of AS and A-Level courses and combinations. Students leave us fully prepared to face challenges of university life and beyond.

Garden International School boasts some of the best academic results in South East Asia. This is because we aim to help all students to prepare for the challenges of university life and beyond. We recognise that the personal development of students is vital. For them to flourish we need to create the right kind of social and work environment so they are fully supported as they take on the challenges of learning and becoming young adults. By giving them the right tools and opportunity to be the best they can be, they achieved outstanding results.

An education at GIS provides young learners with the opportunity to gain the resources, values, capacities and passion to be a valuable, active, caring citizen and to have a positive impact in their community.

GIS offers students over 200 Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) that change every term and to which new opportunities are constantly being developed and added. Additionally all students from Year 3 to Year 12 attend an annual residential camp. Each student in the Secondary School also participates in Discovery Week, which focuses on community service with trips throughout South East Asia.

These opportunities develop our students’ resilience, determination, teamwork and cooperation; all attributes espoused in GIS Learner Skills i.e. Get Involved; Ask Questions; Be Resilient; Learn Together and Think Differently.

GIS is fully embracing the use of technology in education across the whole school, enabling students to learn and develop the ever-changing skills necessary for lifelong learning in the 21st Century workplace. All students from Year 3 to Year 9 are using iPad as a tool for enquiry based learning within lessons, allowing them to research, collaborate and provide 360 degree feedback.

Through a 1:1 iPad initiative, the selection of GIS as an Apple Distinguished Program highlights our success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.
