I'm interested in voting in the upcoming American elections while living here in Portugal. Has anyone here done so in the past? How do I get started so I don't miss out - I want my vote to count.

Hi - It's possible that we vote early and might have to mail the ballot, and now that it's almost September, I'm getting worried. My knowledge is limited since I'm a first time voter ever.
