École Jeannine Manuel - London
École Jeannine Manuel - London is a French, bilingual, international school based on Bedford and Russell Square, steps away from the British Museum. It shares its mission, “to promote international understanding through the bilingual education of a multicultural community of students, the fostering of pedagogical innovation, and the constant exploration of best practices in the context of an ever-changing global environment”, with its French sister schools.
Ecole Jeannine Manuel welcomes pupils from all nationalities and cultural backgrounds, from Nursery to Year 13. As is the case in France, the school is positioned as a unique, truly bicultural institution with a multicultural student body representing more than 45 nationalities. The school attracts international and internationally minded families deeply invested in the education and well-being of their children. Living within this cultural melting pot every day yields a special consciousness of one’s place in the world, an appreciation for the broad landscape of culture and civilizations that we learn to understand and value together.
Students at Ecole Jeannine Manuel follow an enriched, bilingual adaptation of the French national curriculum and, in Sixth Form, take either the French Baccalaureate (with an international option) or the International Baccalaureate. Both diplomas are recognised by the most prestigious universities across the globe.
The school’s teaching approach is based on constant self-evaluation and innovation with regards to its methods and objectives. Innovation in the classroom is inspired by the latest research in the fields of education and cognitive science and by the creativity of its teaching staff. Students are encouraged to be active learners and to develop a heightened self-awareness of their progress.
The school is accredited by the Independent Schools Association (ISA),the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger (AEFE) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
