Antony Hamilton and Alisdair Macindoe - Meeting
from Wed 22nd Mar to Thu 23rd Mar
Meeting springs from a desire that both choreographer Antony Hamilton and award-winning sound designer and composer Alisdair Macindoe share to create a structure that has its own rules. The choreographic language they have devised, where numbers correspond to gestures and movements, is precise yet random. The patterns formed are explained by Hamilton as a way of removing himself from the authorship of the work and succumbing to the machine. It is also about escaping from more mainstream dance practices.
