Yoga La Source: Ashtanga: Inner and Outer Asana Journey

from Mar 26th 2017 to Mar 26th 2017

This program is taught in English

This series of workshops focus on Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga through the key principles underlying this method of yoga practice. We will look at the role of traditional vinyasa count, bandha, breath, and drishti in more detail. We will then link these elements together to explore the unity of inner and outer, gross and subtle, in the flow of asanas.

While Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is frequently perceived as physically very challenging, Marija and Ena will help students introduce softness in the practice. They will work on developing the awareness of foundation and the flow of breath in order to help students develop inner stillness, deep presence, and greater awareness of prana throughout the practice.

The workshops are conceived to provide students with the tools to deepen their practice through inner exploration and thus open the space for the development of self-practice.
