Hello everyone! I'm a French student currently studying at Lyon 3 University, and for my "mémoire", I plan on analysing GQ and Maxim magazines from the year 2014 (UK editions). If anyone happens to have those magazines, or know someone who does in England, I will happily buy those from you (and also buy you a drink, because you would probably be saving my life). Thank you in advance!
Hello. I'm looking to speak to people who have made the decision to leave the UK and move abroad for a potential documentary. At the moment it is just in the research phase so I'm just looking to talk to some people and find out more about the reasons they might move. Thanks and all the best, Ellie Gibbs firstname.lastname@example.org 020 7598 7209
Hello All - I am an American graduate student wondering if there are any others in the expat community who would enjoy getting together to practice some drawing. As a new transplant to Lyon I thought it might be a nice way to explore the city and absorb a sense of place. If any architects, artists, or simply amateurs like me who enjoy a bit of sketching would like to meet up please get in touch!

Hello I've just moved to the Alps from London. I'm a comic and have a one-woman show (Cucu-rucu-cu in the French Alps) that I would like to perform. I'm used to performing in small rooms above/below pubs/bars. I don't know Lyon (or Annecy) that well yet, and I will go door-knocking but I thought I'd ask first so I might target appropriate places, if you know any venues that: ° have a separate room to the main pub/bar/restaurant - no matter how small but ideally where you can close the door or curtain. This is the main criteria. Clientele doesn't have to be English, the show will be done in French as well. I know there are pro comedy nights in Lyon, but i would like to work on my show, and see if I could get an independant room somewhere relaxed and fun. Also, do open mic nights later on down track. If you have any suggestions, would be a big help to start me off. Thanks a million. Marie Connollyhttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Marie-Connolly-Comedy/265682600213474
