You're supposed to have your dog in a basket or carrier bag but I just carry (or used to, she died last year) my dog in my arms or sat her quietly on my knees and never had any problems.

Many thanks for your help, and I am so sorry to hear about your dog, my baby boy went to sleep 2 months ago and I am lost with out him, but his sister still likes going out to the shops hence the question.
