Hello, everyone! I'd like to plan a day trip to Parc de Pilat this weekend and end the trip with some stargazing (my partner has a telescope that we can hardly use in the city). My French is still a bit weak so I'm struggling to navigate the not-yet-fully translated website (http://www.parc-naturel-pilat.fr/). Has anyone visited Pilat before? Are there hours or fees to enter the park? What are the best places to visit there? Any tips for stargazing?Merci en avance! :)Jen

The Lyon Softball League is a bilingual organization of people living in Lyon, France who enjoy playing softball in an informal environment. We will be playing in Parc Parilly, in Bron. on Saturdays or Sundays. There is no cost to join. We just want to get out and have some fun.As a member of a team, you are responsible for providing a baseball/softball glove as well as a t-shirt which represents your team's colors. You will also be asked to provide your own refreshments (water, beer, etc...)Typically, a game will last for about 2-3 hours. This is a casual environment which means there is not "fastball" pitching. Regular softball rules apply. This is a means of getting out in the park on the weekends, meeting other people and having fun.The organization will provide a meeting point in the park, four bases, bats and softballs as well as coordinating between teams and setting up, eventually, playoffs and a final if there is enough interest. Otherwise, we'll just be playing casually with as many people as we can find. Parc de Parilly is huge and there are plenty of things to do if you have a family (basketball, football, kids areas, etc...)We have set up an informal website here:http://lyon-softball-league.blogspot.com/and a facebook page here:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lyon-Softball-League/136986866424200Please contact me if you have any questions.Joe06 86 51 70 32

Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere where I might be able to play netball in Lyon? Just a random idea, I know that it is a British thing but thought it could be fun in finding out about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of the city cycle hire scheme but this morning i needed a bike and as their are 20 spaces at my local station i thought great when there were 9 left. Everyone was broken with either punctures, broken chains or no chains or both. Someone else waiting for one said they had been like this all weekend!!!! Result late for appointment!!!!! Rant over!!!!
