Little Acorns School
Little Acorns is an Infant and Primary school currently providing up to Key Stage 1 of the British curriculum, From 12 months to 7 years of age, with native English teachers. Located in La Moraleja, northern Madrid. Small class sizes.
Each classroom is large and airy with beautiful sunlight and fresh air. There is a large gym used for exercise and motor skill development. We also have a lovely garden with outdoor playing facilities, a sand pit and water play. It also has a small vegetable garden so children can experience nature first-hand. The school also has a kitchen and dining area for the children. We also offer school transport.
Utilising the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in our infant school and the British National Curriculum in our primary school, children learn through engagement and enjoyment. Our children are active participants in their own learning and because each child is unique, we use real life experiences and experimentation to facilitate learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions, to have debates and to problem solve.
Our children come from
a wide range of nationalities. As a non-denominational school, we
teach our children to be respectful, tolerant and accepting of the
beliefs and faiths of one another. Our values are
strong and children learn to manage their own behaviour, to show
commitment to their work and to persist even when things are tough. It
is of high importance that our children learn to be kind, to work in a
team, to have a sense of belonging and to celebrate
the successes of one another.
