Is there a chain of electrical stores doing black Friday in Madrid??
Pretty much eveyone had a deal I imagine.
Today is Cybe Monday so check out Media Markt, PC Componentes, your local Euronics store etc.
I was surpirsed how few people were out shopping on Friday. I thought that I was going to be caught in stampedes for bargains, but apparently not. Perhaps everyone is doing in on the internet now?
I think people have more sense. I have absolutely no idea what on earth this Black Friday nonsense in all about. Where did it come from?
I remember watching a South Park episode about it a few years back where Randy becomes a store security guard. That was the first time I'd heard of it. Now all of Europe seems to have adopted this ridiculous North American custom. Why sell all your stock cheap before Christmas? It makes no sense!
It works in The States as it's the day after Thanksgiving. It's a holiday. It's like a one-off Boxing Day sale bonanza. But here in Europe it has no grounding.
Last year in the UK it was frankly embarrassing watching the idiots fight for junk that they didn't need just because it was on sale. As the old saying goes, "A fool and their money are easily parted..."
