A free and easy "acoustic evening" of blues & folk on Sunday with Jules, Nico & Eric. The music is free but if you want to eat, book a table early because tables are limited inside! 

Is anyone familair with the following. We are currently on hol in Spain ( caravan) and have had the UK and other channels temp installed. I talked to the bloke about the forthcomig problems with UK TV via satelite. He told me that the company he worked for was trialing a system which uses the internet for downloading the various TV channels. As long as you have a internet speed of > 2Mbs then you will be able to receive all the UK TV channels and no need for a Sat dish. Also a friend who lives in Cyprus has told me the same story and companies are installing said system and dismantling their enormous 2m+ dishes

Please help raise money to beat cancer and support the MacMillan nurses by visiting the coffee morning in Montmaurin (31) on saturday the 5th of october. Like last year there will be a bring and buy cake sale, oh, and lots of coffee of course ! You can guess how many coffee beans are in the jar, wina  prize, and of course there will be life music by the group Triangle etc.... So please join us ! Thinking of holding Murder Mystery Weekends at our B&B (quiet at the moment!) - is the following something that you'd be interested in?   What about dates?   If you do like this sort of thing but the dates are not convenient, what dates would suit?   House sleeps around 12 in total (in comfort) but would limit the weekend to 8 guests to ensure more fun for everyone involved. I have done the french 2 year cooking qualification (certificate displayed)  so food is good (so people tell me).  Opinions?.. Looking to get away for a weekend break and wondering what to do?  Head on down (or up depending where you live) to spend a weekend chez La Camelia in Maubourguet. Something dastardly has been afoot. Police Inspector 'D' (can't reveal more than that at this time) is driving in from Lourdes to interrogate 8 suspects involved in the murder of a stunt pilot. Are YOU one of those suspects? Fun, frolics and total mayhem, plus wine, good food and lots of laughs begins Friday night at the welcome reception with a buffet served with wine, Saturday morning there may be clues at breakfast, evidence could be given during the day and more clues will appear during the 4 course lunch and later at the 7 course dinner. All will be revealed at Brunch on Sunday when all suspects will have the opportunity to accuse someone of being the murderer. Prizes available for anyone who can guess 'who dunnit'. 170euro per person based on two people sharing a double room. Inclusive of meals and drinks as stated with a weekend full of entertainment. CONFIRMED  Sylvin Marc will be playing his bass guitar at the Pizza Restaurant, Trie sur Baise Saturday 28 sept, a mixture of Blues, Jazz, Pop etc, get booked in now. The better this evening goes the greater treats we will have in the future.

The theatre group Le Théâtre du Griot-Blanc are presenting a historical play with lights and music in the front courtyard of Chateau Bellegarde 32140 at 21.00hrs Saturday 31st August.  The play is set against the facade of this magnificent 13th century chateau and tells the story of Jeanne d'Ornézan who lived in the chateau at St Blancard and her romance and marriage to the chief of the french army and lots more !  This is  history being acted out in a historically acurate location.  Although the play starts at 21.00  The audience is expected to arrive a little earlier and can enjoy the chateau grounds and yes there is a bar !! A free evening concert with Blues Café from around 20.00hrs at the holiday village and camp site near Seiisan " Les Lacs de Gascogne " .  Playing on the terrace overlooking the lake  Plenty of room inside if the weather goes bad !   Bar and some fine snacks too    This is a real friendly venue so hope you can come along .

Don't forget, or if you didn't know..... tonight under the arches at the Irish Bar in Jegun (32) 8:30 there's a free concert with Eric & Nico playing  a selection of blues both classic and gospel. theres good eating at the resto opposite which spills out onto the same terrace. if you want to sit and enjoy the music get there early because it can be busy in summer, or even bring your own camping chair!

In the centre of Tachoires 32260   This years Sunday Live Festival has a wide range of music - Folk/Celtic + Swing /Blues + Rock / Pop Rock  + Country Rock and Blues   You can find out more on the  Whats On on Anglo   . The X Perts are a harmony duo with guitar and mandolin   They play a mix of blues ,swing and soft rock with great skill and care  This will be their their third gig here this week and they are certainly worth seeing and enjoying - Hope to see you there from 17.00 hrs Jeff and Diana
