Afro-Antillian Museum
Exhibits include photography and art and artifacts from the Afro-West Indian group that contributed to the building of the canal. Located on Calle 24 and Avenida Justo Arosemena. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30-15:30.
Miraflores Visitors Center
The Panama Canals visitors center, museum, restaurant and observation deck. Rooms available for private events. Open daily 09:00-16:30. Recommended to call ahead to check the schedule for boat traffic.
Biodiversity Museum (Biomuseo)
Designed by Frank Gehry, this museum is dedicated to information about biodiveristy and our natural surroundings. Still under construction but group tours are given every Saturday and Sunday. Located on the Amador Causeway.
BancoNacional Museum
Numismatic museum offers a collection of coins as well as stamps dating back to the 16th century. Located on Calle 34 and Avenida Cuba.
The Panama Canal Museum
Features artifacts, photos, and information on the planning and building of the Panama Canal. Located in Casco Antiguo, Plaza Catedral, between Calle 5 and Calle 6. Open Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Contemporary Art Museum (M.A.C.)
Exhibits by local and renowned international artists. Workshop in serigraphy and framing. Event venue for concerts, conferences and expositions. On Calle San Blas, Ancon y Avenida de los Martires. Monday to Friday 09:00-16:00 and Saturday 09:00-12:00.
Museo de la Esmeralda
Free admission to this small museum dedicated to the history of emerald mining. Kids may enjoy the recreated mine. Also features a large gift shop and jewelry store. Open daily, 09:00-18:30. Located at Calle Pedro J Sosa & Calle 6 on Plaza Catedral.
Religious Art Museum
Located in an 18th century chapel, next to the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo where the "Arco Chato" is situated. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 08:30 to 16:30.
