About ASP

The American School of Paris is a vibrant, international, family-oriented community.    

Our mission is to inspire and prepare every student to achieve personal and academic excellence as an engaged global citizen by providing a challenging, innovative program within a compassionate environment. 

We are a coeducational, independent school of more than 800 international students in Early Chilldhood three-year-old classes through to Grade 12.

ASP offers the American High School Diploma, Advanced Placement and as an IB World School and has been offering the International Baccalaureate for 30 years. Our students attend the best universities in the world.

We combine the best of an American education with the advantages of Paris, our host country France and the proximity of the rest of Europe to enrich learning, and our diverse student body adds to this global perspective.

The ASP experience  

At ASP our students embark on a journey of self-discovery that uncovers and develops their unique talents. Each child:

The ASP community 

Half our student population is American, but our students come from nearly 60 countries.

A third of the school’s population changes each year and we have become experts in facilitating smooth transitions both into and out of our community.

To assist our mobile families, ASP accepts students with no English through Grade 8 and has extensive support programs for English language learning and other support services from Kindergarten through Grade 12.

In addition ASP Extension provides English language programs for more than 2000 local French children each year.  Programs are offered during school term and also during school vacation periods.

ASP offers a full Athletic program including Varsity and Junior Varsity sports

Accreditation, affliliations 

ASP is accredited by the Middle Schools Association and the Council of International Schools.

We are members of the National Association of Independent Schools, the European Council of International Schools and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

The American School of Paris is a testing center for the SAT exams.

There is a comprehensive, dedicated school bus network for ASP students which runs throughout Paris and nearby suburbs.
