Hi Poetic minded and Philosophical friends, The attached link is to a play performance this coming Saturday the 3rd of Nov and also the 1st of Dec at 16h at the Theatre du Gymnase-Marie Bell in Paris. The talented Mariane Zahar, who also wrote it, is portraying the Buddhist devotee, Alexandra David Néel, in an 80 minute, "one woman" monologue. I helped adapt it into English and coached her on the English version. She's been playing it in French for the past 4 years. If ever you can come, you can get 12 euro tickets at: https://www.billetreduc.com/174312/evtbook.htm?date=1 Take care and I hope to see you there! Recent expat in Paris here, I used to sing all the time in my home country but now that I am living in a tiny studio I don't get the opportunity without disturbing the neighbours. I can feel my vocal chords getting weaker and now I am looking to join some anglo-friendly singing group, for free, without choral experience? Has anyone found anything good? (Not picky about genre of music, or style of the group i.e. choir or jam sessions)

Hello .. I wonder if anyone has an answer to my problem. ?   I clicked on a related news item on facebook and a document appeared on screen purportedly stating  a virus is pesent on my pc.  It had a windows logo and internet explorer. and Advertissement du navigator and gave a tel.No. for immediate action.  I did not call the No. but cannot get the document off my screen. I have tried lots of helplines, and I have full McAfee security which  surprisingly did not give a warning of this. Has anyone any ideas of how to get it off my screen?  Would appreciate help please.

I don't suppose there are any expat-type/British culture nights celebrating Bonfire Night in or not far from Paris? My flatmate and I are both feeling a little homesick so were hoping we could combat it by watching some brightly coloured explosions and burning someone at the stake! Thanks!

The house (housing most of the collection) is currently closed for renovation and the gardens are also being renovated. There are some sculptures in the garden, but do not expect the usual wow factor if you are planning a visit before September...

There are quite a few talented resident authors in Paris; any many more who use Paris as the settting for thier novels. We often hear about their books at AngloINFO and thought you might want to hear about them too. Feel free to add your favourite fiction/non-fiction books here and tell us why you like them. They can be books set in the area, or they can be about France in general if you feel they have enriched your life here.

Hello. I'm looking to speak to people who have made the decision to leave the UK and move abroad for a potential documentary. At the moment it is just in the research phase so I'm just looking to talk to some people and find out more about the reasons they might move.  Thanks and all the best,  Ellie Gibbs ellie.gibbs@libertybell.tv    020 7598 7209

Dear one and all. I am looking for an amateur orchestra to start playing with. I used to be of a very high standard, but am a bit rusty, however should not take me long to get back into it, just finding it hard to find any orchestras to play with. Can anyone help me? I play cello and percussion (percussion would be my preference).
