Roseanne Lynch - La trace de l’oubli
Centre Culturel Irlandais is delighted to present new works by Irish photographer Roseanne Lynch made over the last year in response to the Bauhaus school, where she conducted an artist residency. Roseanne has consciously refined her approach by applying it to the pedagogical principles of Bauhaus’ ‘preliminary course’: experimentation, contemplation and rigour. Roseanne’s darkroom based practice creates images which talk of light, of architectural constructs, as well as the viewer’s search for reference to the perceived known in the two-dimensional surface of a photographic print.
Roseanne Lynch will be in conversation with the curator Peggy-Sue Amison at 5.30pm, (admission free, reservation recommended, in English).
Two further exhibitions - by photographers Aisling McCoy and Shane Lynam - are being opened this evening at Espace Lhomond, CCI’s neighbouring gallery.
After party with music by electro-artist Elaine Mai, 8pm, admission free.
