I have lived in France for more than 12 years. I have a permanent carte de sejour but an English passport. For the purposes of customs am I classed as an EU resident or resident of a non EU country? The rules are different as to what I can bring back from England into France..

HiMy partner and I are renting in France but we need a new property in early January ideally the 4th for 6th month. we have an elderly dog so would have to accept her. Doesn't matter how big the property is but it must have satellite tv unlimited wifi [work] and be in a village or close by. If you know of anything please pm awbridgedogs@gmail.com    ThanksJessica

Hi I am trying to relocate to the UK and my problem is getting from Calais to the UK as a foot passenger with a cat.  My cat is fully documented.  Any suggestions would truly be appreciated.  I am happy to pay if there is a firm that can take me in their car across the channel.  Many thanks

Hi Could anyone please point me in the right direction of where to call/email regarding a little 11 year old dog that has jumped out of a car in Calais.  The owners have waited 5 hours in the area, but it hasn't returned. It is micro chipped and is called Blackie.  I'll post a picture of him, he looks like a little miniature poodle cross. It's not my dog, but any help would be gratefully received and I'll pass it on to the owner. The owner doesn't speak a word of French and was on her way through France to Romania. Many thanks julie

I am currently writing a book about the exploits of my Father and two uncles who served on the Western Front in World War I. One of my uncles was killed on the first day of the German Spring Offensive on 21st March 1918. He was killed somewhere in the triangle Cerizy, Alaincourt and Moy de-l'Aisne, south of Saint Quentin, and it is my wish to visit the area on the centenary of his death next year and lay a wreath in his memory. As I believe the location to be a piece of woodland which is presumably on private land I need to visit the area this year, locate the landowner, and secure permission from him or her. As I don't speak French I need to find a British expatriate or expatriates living in that area who can help me. Are there any Britons living in that area who might be able to assist? I have tried contacting the Tourist Information Office in Saint Quentin, plus the mayors of the above-mentioned towns and several others in the vicinity to ask for their help, but have had no response.

We are moving to near Frevent late in June, likely on 27th and will have 2 or 3 empty vans travelling back to the UK, I'm certain our removals people will prefer to take full vans back so if anyone has a need to get things back to the UK then do make contact

Civil aviation unions have called for industrial action by air-traffic controllers and other workers from 3-5 June. It’s uncertain how widespread this strike will be however initial reports suggest heavy participation by airport and airline personnel. Cancellations and delays are possible.  Passengers should contact their airline directly for further information.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone can help me? My partner and I are looking for an unfurnished property to rent.{1- 3 years} We are looking to go at the beginning of July. We are quite flexible on the area.  However, the property must accept two medium size dogs {who are both clean and well behaved} have a garden for the dogs. Be within walking distance or cycling distance to a village for a boulangier and local shops. Have satellite and broadband connected or for connection. If anyone has a property suitable please pm at awbridgedogs@gmail.com Many thanks Jessica

SNCF is still on strike so expect cancellations and delays to train services through at least tomorrow (29 April).Air traffic controller are also on strike so some airlines have cancelled some of their flights, primarily into and out of Paris. If you're supposed to be flying today contact your airline directly. Some bus drivers and other transport personnel are also on strike so bus services may be cancelled or delayed. Good luck out there.https://www.angloinfo.com/picardy/how-to/page/picardy-transport-public-transport-strikes
