Hello We have a group de securitie thingy fitted to our hot water tank, it has leaked since the day it was fitted into bucket, the water is stored in containers and then used for cement , pointing and concrete. We have very little work to complete now so i got a pressure regulater, but the only difference is that the shower does not work as well as before, the thingy still leaks. It fills a bucket every week, I have turned the vindage knob which makes it drip faster. I thought to screw a jubilee clip round the knob and body to stop the drip, and remove the regulater which doesnt help. Has anyone had a tank explode due to pressure? My daughter has a tank like ours but no thingy and has never been a problem. Please help? Barry and Pat
Hi. I'm beginning to plan the renovation of a small house in the garden of my french house. Three of the external walls - typical charente stone - look like they will be fine with lime mortar pointing. But the 4th wall (north facing) has previously been liberally pointed (and rendered in some parts) with what looks like cement based render ... I'm assuming to make it more weather resistant ... it looks structurally OK but quite ugly. Removing the cement looks like a nightmare. Should I just apply sandtex paint to match in with the other walls? Or is there a better solution?
Can anyone help. My holiday home is occupied around 5 months of the year(not all at the same time) and I would like to have internet access (don't have a landline) would welcome any suggestions. I have considered a dongle but don't know if there is a better alternative. Thanks in advance.
