Carmina Burana - The Russian National Opera

Musical and choreographic event, the National Opera of Russia (Ballet, Orchestra and Chorus) presents Carmina Burana, one of the leaders of the most famous works of the twentieth century.
Founded on a collection of lyrical poems, Carmina Burana was composed by Carl Orff between 1935 and 1936. Presented for the first time in 1937 at the Frankfurt Opera, this masterpiece has always fascinated and does not leave indifferent the public.
The most famous movement "O Fortuna" included at the end of the work, is known worldwide today. Interpreted with passion and power by choirs and soloists of the National Opera of Russia, these profane and Latin songs tell a story of life, death, destiny and above all love.
