In the 8 week course we will meet once a week for two hours to practice mindfulness techniques, study the workings of the mind and share our experiences.
We will be sitting, walking, lying down and moving gently.
There will be some written exercises and discussion as well as times of silence and meditation. Daily home practice is a requirement.
This is the classic course as taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn which has been adopted by the NHS, The Hôpital Princesse Grace Monaco, schools, universities, Google, Deutschebank and Goldman Sachs amongst others.
MINDFULNESS HAS BEEN SHOWN TO IMPROVE OUR MOOD AND OUR HEALTH while teaching us how to be here for this precious life, rather than letting it slip by while we worry about the future or dwell on the past.
ALISON PRIDEAUX MA has been teaching mindfulness to corporate groups, schools and lay people since 2009. She trained for 3 years with Bangor University, one of the few recognised centres of excellence for Teaching Mindfulness Based Interventions. You will be in good hands.
