Riviera Wellbeing
U.K. qualified psychotherapist offering individual and
couples counselling. There are times in life
when we feel lost. It can be helpful to talk with a qualified therapist to find
some healthy solutions so you can begin to live life fully again.
I am a U.K. qualified psychotherapist, relationship/psychosexual therapist and executive coach. I also trained with the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals and am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He works with individuals and their partners who are affected by intimacy disorders such as sex, love and pornography addiction. However I work with people suffering from all types of addictions.
I offer a safe and confidential space for others to explore the reality of their lives, discover their true selves and achieve their full potential.
In terms of individual
counselling, people come to see me for many different reasons, including
addiction, depression, anxiety, sexually compulsive behaviours, loss and
bereavement, trauma, family and relationship difficulties, difficulties in
relation to sexuality and sexual identity, HIV/AIDS, workplace issues, stress,
isolation, identity issues, low self-esteem and self-worth.
In terms of couples counselling, there can be several reasons for
seeking help. One may find themselves struggling to communicate
effectively which leads to more frequents arguments and/or a pattern of blaming
each other. Anger and resentment can grow in this space. Sometimes the
problems are of a sexual nature where perhaps there are differences in sexual
desire within the relationship. A couple may be struggling to come
to terms with the impact of infidelity on the
relationship. Sometimes the reasons for feeling stuck are hard to
identify but there is a feeling that one has just drifted apart from their
partner or spouse. In today’s forever “on-the-go” world, managing busy
careers and juggling family responsibilities can overwhelm us, both as
individuals and in our relationship as a couple. I offer
relationship counselling to same-sex and heterosexual individuals and couples
and my clients come from a wide range of different backgrounds, cultures and
religions.
If you are an expat who has relocated to France, that may bring its own
challenges. Individuals often report difficulty in settling in without
their previous and familiar support structures. Breaking into new
friendship circles can cause social anxiety. Expat life can feel
superficial and alienating without the deep connections that we all need.
In my work as a therapist, I practice according to the needs of each
client, drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques. I trained in the theories
of humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, existential, behavioural and body
psychotherapy. I also work with cognitive therapies such as CBT. I abide by the
BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
In terms of executive coaching, I work with individuals and senior
executives to work through challenges and changes in the workplace.
Working as coach, I combine my life experience as well as my executive career
of over 20 years in the City of London.
