Birth companion that provides various forms of non-medical support including physical, emotional and informed choices dring the childbirth process. Supporting women and couples before, during and after birth.
Association Alzheimer Cote d'Azur
Advice and support for Alzheimer sufferes at 5 avenue Beatrix, Nice (06). Assistance in English not guaranteed.
Adult Children of Alcoholics
This is a 12-step support group for people who grew up in alcoholic or dysfunctional homes. Meetings held at the Holy Trinity Church, 11 rue de la Buffa in Nice (06).
Cancer Support Group 06
Cancer support group for English speakers. Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of the month at 15:30 at The Grange, 816 Chemin Gourettes, Mouans Sartoux. Open to patients, families and care givers.
AA Riviera
Alcoholics Anonymous on the Riviera for alcoholics and recovering alcoholics. Meetings in various venues around the Riviera, in Monaco and the Var. Full details of meeting times and venues on the website in English.
Al-Anon Family Groups

Red Cross Antibes
Part of the French national Red Cross organisation. Collection and distribution of clothes, blankets, baby equipment and crockery. Volunteers always welcome to offer donations or practical help. At 6 rue de l'Isle, Antibes (06).
Societe Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer - Antibes
The SNSM, the national society for sea rescue, is at the Capitainerie in Port Vauban, on Quai Marcel Gilli, Antibes (06). Open on Saturdays to present their activities to the public.
AFS Accueil Femmes Solidarite
Non-profit association freely open to victims of violence: women (with or without children) in physical or mental distress. Call for further information, help or membership/donations.
Sunny Bank
Provides, in partnership with a commercial operator, an Anglophone-friendly medicalised retirement home, with close volunteer support for residents and other elderly dependent expats still living in their own homes. 
The British Charitable Fund
Helps British residents in France who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. Assists people of all ages and from all walks of life. Contact for information and advice. Office open 10:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday.
Narcotics Anonymous
English-speaking support group to help those overcoming addictions. Meetings in English held on Sundays at 1 Rue Rancher, Nice (06), from 19:30.
SOS Help
English-speaking equivalent to the Samaritans for those living in France. Listeners available daily from 15:00-23:00.
Bereavement Support Network of the Var
Support for English-speaking residents and their families who are going through a bereavement.
AVF Accueil des Villes Francaises
French organisation (with English spoken) to assist with the practicalities of adjusting to a new area. Information, activities and French classes available through the Sophia Antipolis (06) branch.
Monaco Red Cross
Providing support in the Principality, from financial aid, food aid and distribution of clothes, to furniture and equipment. At 27 boulevard de Suisse in Monaco.
