“ Real Learning for a Real Future”

EtonHouse Lodge

EtonHouse Lodge attracts pupils from the expatriate and Korean communities celebrating diversity and offering a distinctive education based closely on the UK, Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and uses inquiry based learning techniques to achieve learning goals. Our first priority is to get to know your children, to work closely with you and ensure every child’s time at the Lodge is fun and rewarding. We provide high quality early years educations thus giving every child a positive start to their educational journey,

Educational Philosophy

Like EtonHouse Prep, at its core, EtonHouse Lodge’s education is about self-discovery. We develop happy, curious young learners who love school, sociable young people who respect, trust and share and open minded thinkers who enjoy exploring. Our aims are simple: to prepare every child for a smooth transition and entry to Reception class at EtonHouse Prep. All the children in our care should love coming to school and they should be aware of the wider world around them and of their place within it.

Curriculum and Learning

In a constantly changing world, it is vital that our children are exposed to a variety of challenges and learning experiences so that they leave us as confident and self-assured individuals who are well prepared for the next stage of their lives.

EtonHouse Lodge follows the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).  The main emphasis is on providing a secure, fun and nurturing environment for all children to develop individually and at their own pace. Our school environment  reflects the Reggio Emilia philosophy of learning and is often referred to as the ‘third teacher’. Open space and natural light prevail throughout - with use of natural colour, products and textures. The children engage in hands on activities that closely relate to the world around them. Art, drama and role-play, music and physical development will play a daily part in their lives. Teachers strive to set up meaningful provocations within the natural environment to enable young children to develop inquiry skills and critical thinking

Care and Support

It is our aim at EtonHouse Lodge that our children should not just come to school happy, self-assured, and ready for a challenge, but also that they feel comfortable, safe, listened to and ‘at home.’ We believe that if we can achieve this, we can help the whole child develop to their potential and at their own pace. In the EYFS, we have the Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) area of learning. This includes goals which center around individual personalities, building self-confidence, a lifelong love of learning and social skills which are carried all the way through their school learning journey.
